Miami Hurricanes cornerback Keionte Scott revealed that he had a formal meeting with the New England Patriots ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Scott turned heads with his impressive pro day performance, netting a 4. 25 40-yard dash and a 44-inch vertical.
He was an integral part of the Hurricanes' defense last season, recording 60 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, two pick-sixes and 17 pressures. The standout defensive back measures in at 5-foot-11 and 193 pounds. "My schedule has definitely been loaded since the NFL Combine," Scott told SI.
com's Justin Melo . "I had a bunch of formal and informal meetings. I had formals with the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints, and others.
" The Patriots are loaded on the backend of their defense with Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones and Carlton Davis III at cornerback. But they could use more depth at the position, and a tremendous playmaker like Scott could be a steal in the draft, especially if he falls on Day 2. His ball-hawking skills and physicality are right on brand with the kind of football a Mike Vrabel-coached team is looking to play.
