Hitting in the two-hole of manager Aaron Boone’s Yankees lineup, Judge struck out in his first four plate appearances.
He went hitless in the game. Fans in the sellout crowd of 40,856 at Oracle Park in San Francisco were roaring with each called strike or swinging strikeout. Yankees fans should not read more into that one game than the fact it was only one game.
