Patriots select 'tank' OL with No. 31 pick in 2026 NFL mock draft

The Patriots keep their focus on improving the offensive line in this latest 2026 NFL mock draft.

Is anyone getting past Kadyn Proctor if the New England Patriots select him in the 2026 NFL Draft. Proctor is an imposing left tackle. The 6-foot-7 top prospect weighed in at 358 pounds at Alabama’s Pro Day on Wednesday.

Proctor impressed with his work in on-field drills, which adds to his value prior to the draft. According to CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell, the Patriots select Proctor with the No. 31 overall pick in this year’s draft to serve as Morgan Moses’ protege before taking the reigns after the 35-year-old veteran right tackle retires.

”Kadyn Proctor is a tank, but he has the quickness to play offensive tackle in the NFL because of his footwork,” Podell said. “He uses a strong first step to avoid getting beat off the line of scrimmage and can bend enough to handle speed rushers off the edge. Proctor might be a project, but he'll be able to learn from Morgan Moses before eventually replacing him.

” Proctor allowed only two sacks last season while protecting Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson’s blindside. He also kept his penalties low, committing just two on the year. The Patriots stand to benefit from having more protection for AP MVP runner-up Drake Maye on their offensive line so that he can get the ball down the field even more next season, making Proctor a fitting prospect to address that.
