He claimed that the World Cup is a stage made for stars such as the former Barcelona winger, someone who could change a game in just one move.
The former Manchester United defender said: “Neymar hasn’t made the recent squad, man. I cannot believe it. I saw him on social media saying he’s still going to continue to work in hope that it might turn around and he’ll get put into the squad.
“As a football fan, I am praying that Neymar’s there and he touches the pitch of the World Cup because this is what it’s about. The greats of the game, the icons that you go, remember that moment. Neymar could produce one of those moments at a World Cup.
