The Division I Men's and Women's Golf Oversight Committee has submitted a proposal that would change the dates for the spring transfer portal window.

The Division I Men's and Women's Golf Oversight Committee has submitted a proposal that would immediately change the dates for the Division I transfer portal window. The committee filed an amendment to rule 13. 1.

1. 4, with a hearing set for April 2, to discuss changing the dates for student-athletes to enter the transfer portal. The amendment reads as follows: specify that an undergraduate student-athlete may initiate notification of transfer Dec.

1-15 or a 15 consecutive-day period beginning the day after the conclusion of the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Golf Championships, respectively. For the 2025-26 season, athletes could have entered the portal during the Dec. 1-15 window, but the spring dates are different.

For the women, the portal is set to open May 6 and close June 4. The men's portal window opens May 13 and closes June 11. Per the amendment filing, the Oversignt Committee says the current timing of the 30-day notification of transfer period raises concerns related to preserving the integrity of the Division I Men's and Women's Golf Championships.
