Prep Roundup: Tidwell's big game leads Decatur Heritage over Tanner
Mar. 27—TANNER — Allie Tidwell had a monster day at the plate Thursday to lead Decatur Heritage softball to a 23-4 win over Tanner. Tidwell hit two home runs, a triple and a double and finished with 10 RBIs.
She also scored five runs. Laylah Sparkman added three hits and two RBIs, Savannah Sims had a hit and three RBIs and Cami Harris had three hits and an RBI. — Austin 19, James Clemens 8: Charlie Barnes drove in five runs on four hits as Austin picked up a big area win.
Arden Breedlove added four hits and three RBIs and Rebecca Horn had three hits and two RBIs. — Athens 8, Ardmore 3: Lexie Thornton drove in four runs on two hits to lead Athens to an 8-3 win over Ardmore on Thursday. Thornton had two hits, including a home run, as the Golden Eagles had 13 total hits.
Rayne Brewer and Linsley Gillman each added two hits and an RBI. Raelynn Dempsey led Ardmore with two hits and two RBIs. — East Limestone 6, Priceville 5: Morgan Stoudmire scored a go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth to give the Indians a win.
