Shohei Ohtani gifted Dodgers teammates a $4,000 watch and a note pushing for another World Series win

Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers kicked off the season with a big win on Opening Day.

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani wants his teammates to be prompt for the the team’s upcoming three-peat in the World Series. As the Dodgers prepared to open the season Thursday night, each player found a gift from Ohtani sitting in their locker. That gift was a $4,000 Seiko watch and a note that read, “Let’s three-peat,” per multiple reports.

Dodgers players had two gifts waiting for them at their lockers when they arrived at the ballpark today: * a bottle of Traveller whiskey from Dave Roberts * a $4,000 Seiko watch from Shohei Ohtani, complete with a note: “Let’s three-peat. ” — Alden González (@Alden_Gonzalez) March 26, 2026 It wasn’t the only gift Dodgers players received. Manager Dave Roberts also gave each player on the team a bottle of Traveller whiskey.

For Ohtani, the gift is … well … timely, as he just announced a new partnership with Seiko, a Japanese watch brand, in mid-March.
