Broncos Super Bowl 50 champion wide receiver now coaching in the UFL
Cody Latimer, who won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos, will coach Birmingham Stallions WRs and TEs in the UFL this spring.
A former Denver Broncos wide receiver will coach in the United Football League this spring. Cody Latimer, who won Super Bowl 50 with the Broncos following the 2015 season, retired from professional football after playing for the UFL's San Antonio Brahmas in 2024. He immediately transitioned to coaching, working with San Antonio's wide receivers during the 2025 spring season.
The Brahmas were shut down ahead of the 2026 season and Latimer switched to the Birmingham Stallions, where he will coach wide receivers and tight ends this spring. The 33-year-old Latimore played two seasons as a spring football tight end before hanging up his cleats and transitioning to coaching. The Broncos picked Latimer in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft out of Indiana.
He totaled 35 receptions for 445 yards and three touchdowns in three years (45 games) in Denver before stints with the New York Giants and Washington Football Team (now called the Commanders). A Super Bowl champion and a member of the 2023 All-XFL Team, Latimer will make his 2026 coaching debut when the Stallions go on the road to face the Louisville Kings on Friday evening.
