3 free agent options for Jaguars with 2026 NFL draft on horizon

Yahoo Sports

With the 2026 NFL draft on the horizon, here are three available free agent options that still make sense for the Jaguars.

Free agency may be at a standstill, but there are still a few available players who make sense for the Jacksonville Jaguars . Of course, the Jaguars must be mindful of spending with only $5. 98 million in available salary cap space -- although no signing at this stage of free agency should break the bank.

We also know that GM James Gladstone is quite mindful of preserving the compensatory draft picks the Jaguars are projected to receive in 2027. So again, contract value matters very much to Jacksonville. Realistically, the Jaguars may have paused their free agency search until after the NFL draft.

At that point, Gladstone can attempt to backfill any remaining roster holes, just as he did last year. However, if the Jaguars do want to make an addition before that point, here are three options for them. IDL Calais Campbell Defensive tackle is arguably the biggest need that the Jaguars still have.

The addition of Campbell would elevate the floor of this unit, boost competition, and bring in a player who is still quite productive. With Arizona in 2025, Campbell put together a 33-pressure and six-sack season. For some context, 33 pressures would have been the fourth-most on the Jaguars last season.
