The Spanish forward is under contract until 30 June 2027, and the club’s sporting management, following its policy of not allowing any player to enter the final year of a contract without renewal, will need to make a decision. At present, that decision remains uncertain and depends on several factors. Ferran enjoyed a strong end to the 2024-25 season, playing a decisive role in Barcelona’s triumph in the Copa del Rey.
He finished as the competition’s top scorer. His performances even led sporting director Deco to suggest during the summer tour that Ferran could become Barcelona’s future No. 9 once Robert Lewandowski moves on.
