“There’s a chance Nico Paz stays,” says Como sporting director
It seems like a given that Real Madrid will trigger their option to buy Nico Paz back from Como this upcoming summer, but Carlalberto Ludi, sporting director for the Italian club, believes there’s still a chance the Argentinian midfielder decides to stay with them. “Nico Paz is happy here; our potential presence in European competitions could convince him to stay. There’s a chance he’ll stay.
This is an ideal environment for young players: a welcoming one, ambitious and focused on improvement. Sooner or later the time will come for someone to leave, but right now we don’t have that feeling,” he said in an interview with Radio Radio TV. Real Madrid’s buyback option on Paz expires this summer and every single reports in the Spanish press indicates that he is going to be a madridista next year.
The potential he’s shown over the last two seasons in the Serie A is very intriguing and Madrid seem ready to give him a role. If that is the case, Carlalberto Ludi will have to find a replacement.
