Falcons RB depth chart: Bijan Robinson, Brian Robinson set to lead backfield in 2026

After letting Tyler Allgeier walk in NFL free agency, the Atlanta Falcons needed a quality backup to replace the former 1,000-yard rusher. The team appears to have landed a good one in former Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers running back Brian Robinson Jr. Since entering the league in 2022, Robinson has rushed for 2,729 yards and 17 touchdowns, while adding 73 catches for 612 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions.

The 27-year-old will serve as Bijan Robinson's primary backup in 2026. Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham didn't stop there, though. The team brought in former Indianapolis Colts running back Tyler Goodson, a quality depth option who has some special teams ability as a kick returner.

Robinson and Goodson are slotted in as the team's new No. 2 and No. 3 running backs, but Nathan Carter is still in the mix for that third spot.

Goodson was likely added more for his special teams ability and Carter showed promise as an undrafted rookie in 2026. Check out our projected Falcons running back depth chart after the team's latest signings. Falcons projected RB depth chart Bijan Robinson Brian Robinson Jr.
