A former Carolina Panthers executive has returned to the NFC South. As announced on Thursday evening, the Atlanta Falcons have hired Steven Drummond as their senior vice president of communications. Drummond previously worked behind the scenes in Carolina for nearly 18 years before resigning from the organization ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Following a three-year stint as the communications coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Drummond was hired by the Panthers as their assistant director of communications in 2005. He'd go on to serve as the director of communications, director of communications and digital media, the vice president of communications and external affairs and the vice president of football operations. Drummond has spent the last three years as the deputy athletic director and chief marketing officer at the University of Georgia Athletic Association.
