Everyone is familiar with the women's team's sustained success, but the men's team has begun to match it. Dan Hurley took over as the UConn men's basketball coach in 2018. Since then, he has gone 196-74 overall, and he helped the Huskies cut down the nets as the national champions in both 2023 and 2024.
It was UConn's fifth and sixth national championships in school history, and their first since 2014. Hurley has led UConn to the NCAA Tournament in each of the last six seasons. He has the Huskies back in the tournament, and they have made it back to the Sweet Sixteen.
