UNF's Kaitlyn Schroeder finishes strong for runner-up spot at FSU event
Katilyn Schroeder of the University of North Florida made a late run at FSU's Seminole Legacy Course but couldn't watch FSU's Sophia Fullbrook.
University of North Florida junior Kaitlyn Schroeder saved her best for last, but it wasn't enough to catch Florida State's Sophia Fullbrook on March 22 in the final round of the FSU Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course. Schroeder posted a closing 68 but a 70 was enough for Fullbrook to close out the Seminoles' 70th individual championship in school history and the 28th team title in the 16 years under coach Amy Bond. Fullbrook, who had a second-round 67, finished at 10-under 206 while Schroeder posted her third career runner-up finish and ninth top 10 at 5-under 211.
FSU shot 4-under as a team to beat Eastern Michigan by eight shots and win the tournament for the sixth time in 13 years. UNF finished seventh at 29-over The venues will flip on March 30-31 when FSU comes to the First Coast to play in the Coach Mo Classic at the St. Johns Golf and Country Club March 30-31.
The tournament is hosted by Furman and former Paladins player Monique Gesualdi (a Nease graduate), who is the PGA North Section Youth Development Coach of the Year for 2025. Also in the field will be UCF, Michigan, Purdue and St. Johns.

Quinn and Ricard shot 6-under 138 (68-70) and fended off Caldabaugh and Keyer-Scott (72-67), who rallied in the final round to finish at 5-under.
