Social media reacts to Nebraska's heartbreaking Sweet 16 loss to Iowa
Nebraska lost in a heartbreaking fashion to Iowa on Thursday night, leaving fans heartbroken.
Nebraska basketball saw its miracle season come to an end on Thursday night with a 77-71 loss to Iowa . This was a game in which the Huskers dominated for most of it, yet faltered down the stretch. Nebraska entered the first half locker room with a 39-36 lead.
However, Iowa managed to come back in a big way. Iowa went on a 15-6 run over the final 6:33. They were able to take control of the game and send Nebraska packing after a storybook season.
Pryce Sandfort led all Nebraska scores with 25 points. Braden Frager had another 16 points. Even still, it was not enough to stop Iowa from reaching the Elite Eight.
