2026 NFL draft: Titans had formal combine visit with Cincinnati LB

•Yahoo Sports

The Tennessee Titans have shown interest in Cincinnati Bearcats' Jake Golday, having a formal meeting with the linebackr at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Much like during the head coaching search, Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has been very tight-lipped about the Titans ’ draft plans, and, incredibly, there have been very few leaks, even about prospects whom they have shown interest in. Because of this secrecy, it has been difficult to find a completely accurate account of who the team has met with, and even at the NFL Scouting Combine, information barely trickled out, and some players flew under the radar. Leaving Titans Wire and other outlets to play catch-up when information surfaces.

That was the case on Thursday, when Sports Illustrated draft analyst Justin Melo interviewed Cincinnati linebacker Jake Golday, and he revealed he had a formal interview with the Titans at the combine. 5 sacks, six tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble. Still relatively raw at the position after converting from edge, the 6-foot-4, 239-pound linebacker put up solid numbers at the combine, recording a 4. 62 40-yard dash.

Tennessee could look to add some young depth to its linebacking corps in the draft, and Golday could be on its radar in the middle rounds. This article originally appeared on Titans Wire: 2026 NFL draft: Titans had formal combine visit with LB Jake Golday
