AS Monaco boss Sébastien Pocognoli admitted back in February that the club had no idea when Pogba would be fit to play again, which is a massive red flag for his future in professional football. Relief at last Mundo Deportivo report, however, that finally there has been some positive news in Pogba’s story. The report explained that, “Paul Pogba, 33, a 2018 World Cup winner, who has been out for three months with a leg injury, returned to play on Thursday and even scored in a friendly match for Monaco against Brentford’s Under-23 team.
” The ball bounced out to him on the edge of the area, and he rifled the ball into the bottom corner in trademark fashion. It was, unbelievably, Pogba’s first goal since scoring for Manchester United in a 1-1 draw with Burnley back in 2022. The match was played at La Turbie training centre, with Monaco losing 1-2 to the young Premier League team.
