The WILD reaction at KAMS after Illinois punches ticket to Elite Eight
That’s a helluva party.
HOUSTON, TEXAS - MARCH 26: Jake Davis #15, Andrej Stojakovic #2, Keaton Wagler #23, Tomislav Ivisic #13 and David Mirkovic #0 of the Illinois Fighting Illini look on against the Houston Cougars during the second half in the Sweet Sixteen of the 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at Toyota Center on March 26, 2026 in Houston, Texas. Of course, as a 2019 graduate of the university, I’m referring to old KAMS, but I’ve also ventured inside the new KAMS back in 2020, and it’s pretty good!
And on Thursday night, it was pretty WILD. TCR’s Cooper O’Kelly on the ground at the popular bar doing some hard-hitting reporting from the crazy crowd: Scenes from KAMS in Champaign as the #illini are headed to the Elite 8 for the second time in three years. Campus is going to be rocking for about two days straight.
