After a breakout freshman year, Clemson football WR Tyler Brown's playing time decreased for two years. Here's why he could return to being dominant in 2026.

CLEMSON โ€” Clemson football wide receiver Tyler Brown hopes the 2026 season can satisfy his hunger. Brown, who attended Greenville High School, was Clemson 's top receiver as a freshman in 2023. He led the team in receptions (52) and receiving yards (531) with four touchdowns in 13 games and nine starts to earn Freshman All-America honors.

Yet, his playing time decreased in 2024 after Bryant Wesco Jr. and T. J.

Moore both emerged as freshman and Brown battled an ankle injury that limited him to six games. Brown's playing time decreased again in 2025 as star wideout Antonio Williams dominated time in the slot. The last two seasons, Brown recorded 27 catches for 221 yards in 19 games and five starts.

"I'm hungry, man. I'm still hungry," Brown said after Clemson's 13th spring practice on March 26. "I was hungry when I was playing.
