Steve Kerr was coy when asked about Stephen Curry's current status following a long-standing knee injury

Stephen Curry is still sidelined with a knee injury. The Golden State Warriors' superstar point guard has missed the last 22 games, and right now, there's no guarantee he will be back in the rotation before the end of the regular season. After all, the Warriors have nine games remaining in the current campaign and are on track for a spot in the play-in tournament.

When speaking with the media following a practice session on Thursday, March 26, head coach Steve Kerr was coy with the media when questioned about Curry's status. He noted that the veteran sharpshooter is spending most of his time with the team's medical staff, led by Rick Celebrini. โ€œWell, heโ€™s spending a lot of time with Rick,โ€ Kerr said .

โ€œSo Iโ€™m on the court and discussing the training with Rick, so I canโ€™t tell you much more than that. โ€ With very little left to play for this season, Curry could end up being shut down, in the hopes that he'll be ready to go at the start of the 2026-27 campaign. According to Nick Friedell of The Athletic, the Warriors will provide another update about Curry on Friday, March 27.

"Warriors say the next Steph update comes tomorrow," Friedell wrote on X. "Kerr said Steph is spending a lot of time still working with Rick Celebrini behind the scenes โ€” doesnโ€™t sound like as much on-court work is happening as they wait for him to be ready to scrimmage. " The Warriors will have a tough decision to make regarding Curry.
