Bills' Connor McGovern explains how it all changed and he re-signed in Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills brought offensive lineman back just ahead of NFL free agency. McGovern anchored Buffalo's offensive line in the middle last year. Pro Football Focus  ranked the Bills' O-line as the sixth-best in the NFL at the end of the 2025 season.

The agreement happened despite McGovern telling The Athletic he had not heard from the Bills regarding a new contract. McGovern said he believed his tenure was believed to be "over and down with" in Buffalo. So what happened in between that time?
