Warriors make Al Horford decision ahead of Wizards game
The Golden State Warriors will be without Al Horford for the eighth straight game, when they face the Washington Wizards on Friday
Al Horford will miss his eighth straight game when the Golden State Warriors face the Washington Wizards on Friday, March 27. Steve Kerr confirmed the veteran big man will remain on the injury report ahead of the Warriors' 109-106 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, March 25. Horford has been in and out of the Warriors' rotation all season long.
He missed 16 games between the start of Nov. 1 and Dec. 31, and has struggled to string together a meaningful run of games in the months that have followed.
In total, Horford has played in 43 of the Golden State's 73 regular-season games so far. “Al Horford missed a seventh straight game tonight with a calf strain. Will remain out Friday against the Wizards, per Kerr,” ESPN's Anthony Slater reported via X.
When healthy, Horford is an important part of Steve Kerr's rotation. He can stretch the floor, is a selfless passer and most importantly, is a reliable defender capable of guarding multiple positions. Unfortunately, Warriors fans have been unable to see Horford at his best, as he's continually seeking a rhtyhm due to the games he's missed.
