The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet 16 on Friday evening. The Tide will enter the matchup as big underdogs . Michigan has dominated on both ends of the floor throughout the majority of the season, and Alabama will need to stay red hot from behind the arc against an elite Wolverines team.

ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas recently revealed what a potential path to the Final Four could look like for the Tide, citing Alabama’s electrifying defensive effort and shooting ability against Texas Tech in the Round of 32 as a potential reason why they could make an even deeper run. Alabama made 19 total three pointers prior to subbing out the regular playmakers against Texas Tech. Bilas named star guard Labaron Philon Jr.

as the player to watch for the Tide as well, as Philon will play a critical role in Alabama’s offensive success moving forward. Bilas listed Alabama’s defensive and rebounding abilities as a cause for concern, but the Tide could quickly change the narrative that has surrounded them all season, should they play similarly to their matchup vs. Texas Tech.
