The Los Angeles Chargers could use one of their first picks in the draft on this player.

The Chargers are hosting highly coveted guard prospect Chase Bisontis out of Texas A&M on a visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, according to NFL Media's Mike Garafolo . Keeping quarterback Justin Herbert upright is an absolute must. Bisontis brings an impressive resume in pass protection, having allowed only one sack in his final season.

In offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's scheme, he has the functional athleticism to pull, reach the second level, and effectively block. Los Angeles has addressed the guard position in free agency with the signings of Cole Strange and Kayoda Awosika, and the re-signing of Trevor Penning. Strange is presumed to start at right guard.

By drafting Bisontis, he would be in contention to start at left guard in his rookie season. Bisontis projects as a late first-round/early second-round pick. The Bolts hold the No.

22 overall selection, so they would likely have to take him there or potentially in a trade-back situation. This article originally appeared on Chargers Wire: Chargers hosting highly coveted guard prospect on pre-draft visit
