The Washington Huskies earned a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane from Tustin (CA) on Thursday.

Washington has been on a roll on the recruiting trail this winter. Four-star wide receiver Braylon Pope opened the floodgates on December 15, committing to the Huskies from in-state Sumner High. Graham-Kapowsin cornerback Maurice Williams joined him as locals pledged to Washington on Christmas Eve.

Then came Desert Edge (AZ) wide receiver Zerek Sidney and Kimberly (ID) linebacker Titus Osterman in January. February was fruitful as well, bringing head coach Jedd Fisch and company commitments from St. John Bosco (CA) linebackers Ethan and Justin Coach and Mater Dei (CA) defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.

Servite (CA) linebacker Isaiah Leilua and Sandra Day O'Connor (AZ) running back Jeremy Adeyanju jumping in the boat in mid-March brought Washington to nine commits and a class that ranked No. 6 in the country, per the 247Sports composite rankings. That number will jump up a spot or two, as the Huskies have added a third blue-chip player to pair with Pope and Adeyanju.

Four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane from Tustin (CA) pledged to Washington on CBS Sports' YouTube channel on Thursday, adding more beef to the defensive trenches. Fisch and defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi have preached getting bigger on the line to compete more consistently in the Big Ten, and Ioane certainly brings the size. He already stands at 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds and had two other Big Ten schools - Penn State and UCLA - in his final five.
