Dallas Cowboys Plotting Round 1 Trade For Elite Ohio State Prospect?

A new report on an upcoming meeting between the Dallas Cowboys and a top NFL Draft prospect seems to open the door for a trade up in Round 1 of next month’s event. After a frustrating 7-9-1 finish to the 2025 season, the Cowboys will look to further improve their roster at April’s draft. While last season was ugly at times, the one pro of a down year is a premium pick next month, and Dallas will specifically be on the clock at 12th overall in Round 1.

Furthermore, they also have the 20th pick after landing it in a trade last season. Over the last few weeks, various mock drafts have linked them to LSU corner Mansoor Delane, Auburn EDGE Keldric Faulk, and Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman. Strong prospects, but not the best of the best in the 2026 class from college football.
