Contract incentives for Patriots FB Reggie Gilliam revealed for 2026
The incentives for fullback Reggie Gilliam's contract with the Patriots have been revealed.
The contract incentives for fullback Reggie Gilliam's three-year deal with the New England Patriots have been released. Per the Boston Globe's Ben Volin , Gilliam has the potential to reach up to $400,000 in contract incentives. Those rewards would stack depending on the percentage of snaps the veteran gets in 2026.
He can earn $200,000 if he's in on 30 percent of the snaps and another $200,000 if he's in on 35 percent of the snaps. The expectation is for Gilliam to carve out a major role on the field as a blocker to boost the rushing attack and elevate pass protection. A player with Gilliam's talents should only make things easier on running backs Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
Hopefully, it will help alleviate some of the pressure on quarterback Drake Maye as well. The fullback position might be somewhat of a novelty these days, but it has always been a key position for the Patriots with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels running the show. It might not seem like it now, but the Gilliam signing could end up being one of the team's best signings in quite some time.
