Andrew determined to avoid second successive relegation

The feelings Danny Andrew experienced when he was relegated last season are spurring him on to help Exeter City survive in League One. Andrew, 35, was part of the Cambridge United side relegated to League Two last season. He joined Exeter in September and has returned to the team this month after being out since November with a calf injury.
With City one place above the relegation spots after a 13-game winless run, Andrew will do everything he can to avoid the situation he faced 12 months ago. "It's a horrible situation when it becomes mathematically impossible to stay in the league," he told BBC Radio Devon. "It's probably one of the worst experiences I've had in football last season.
"You just feel like you've let everyone down really, like yourself and everyone close, the fans, the club, everything, your teammates. "So it puts a big fire and an extra added spice into it that I really don't want to go down again, it's not great for anyone, so it fuels the passion to achieve keeping Exeter in this league. " Exeter have lost their last five matches and taken just one point from their last seven games.
They now lie just one point above the relegation places before Saturday's visit of Leyton Orient to St James Park (15:00 GMT). The experienced left-sided player says it is crucial he and his teammates do not let their heads drop as they try and secure a fifth successive season in League One for the Grecians. "You can easily feel sorry for yourself, that's no good for anyone.
