He became just the second Wizards rookie ever to record a double-double before halftime, joining John Wall (11 points, 10 assists on Jan.
17, 2011) in the distinction. This was just Reese’s second game for the Wizards in the last 17 days, as he has moved down the pecking order with the return of forward Tristan Vukcevic and center Alex Sarr from injury. But both were dealing with lingering effects and were ruled out Wednesday — that gave Reese room to emphatically return to a starting role.
