Bengals showed up big at Ohio State pro day
The Bengals aren't shy about draft plans when it comes to Buckeyes this year.
The Cincinnati Bengals went heavy at the Ohio State pro day this week. Given the proximity, that’s usually the case for the Bengals . But given the urgency of this year and the Buckeyes looking like first-round prospects, that was especially the case for the Bengals.
The Bengals need help on the defensive side of the ball and the Buckeyes can surely provide, starting right at No. 10 overall. Defensive back Caleb Downs is a guy they could target as a possible slot man and chess piece they can move all across formations.
Linebackers Arvell Reese and Sonny Styles fit an obvious need, too. It’s not as dramatic as defensive line or secondary help, but either could very well be the best player available on Cincinnati’s board when the team gets to the podium. Adding a rookie doesn't fix the experince problem. And yet, due diligence demands they keep an open mind at the rare pro day where fans probably wouldn’t complain if any of the three big names got called on draft day.
