The youngster came to the club in the summer but has largely been used as a substitute, making just four starts in La Liga so far in 2025-26.

Roony is currently on international duty with Sweden and has complained about his lack of minutes at Barca. “The truth is that up until now I’ve had very little playing time,” he said in an interview with Sverige Television. “I’m patient, but honestly, I think I deserved to play more.

” Roony was then asked if he was satisfied with his bit-part role and added: “No. I’m not 100% happy, but that’s football. I have the utmost respect for those who have been in the squad for a long time; they’re my teammates.

I know what I can do, and I have a lot of confidence in myself. “It has always been my dream to play for Barça. When I won my first trophy it was fantastic, a great feeling.
