SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — The Wall Lady Hawks have dominated district play lately. As of Wednesday, March 25, the No. 8 Wall Lady Hawks are 21-3 overall and 6-1 in the District 6-3A Region I standings.
After losing their opener to Jim Ned on March 7, the Lady Hawks have found their groove, outscoring opponents 97 to nine during their six-game winning streak. Wall most recently swept Grape Creek in a home-and-away series, outscoring them 35-0 in just two games. The Lady Hawks host Merkel next on Friday, March 27 and will travel to face the Lady Badgers on Tuesday the 31st.
In the vision of Wall head coach Allyson Seider, quality at-bats are a fundamental proving to be key in her team’s success. “This year, [Wall has] been really focused on taking quality at-bats and I think that’s something that’s helped us along the way,” Seider said. “We do a lot of hitting in practice, we get a lot of cuts in.
