The wait is over for Denver Summit FC, they take down defending NWSL Champions Gotham FC on the road. That’s the club’s first ever win in NWSL play.

Head coach Nick Cushing and Denver Summit FC have upset defending NWSL Champions, Gotham FC at Sports Illustrated Stadium for their ever win in club history.

After the first half ended scoreless, it was all the visitors in the second half. In the 58th minute, Melissa Kössler would open the scoring and make it 1-0. She became only the second player in league history to score in a club’s first three regular season games.
