Though the Denver Broncos no longer hold a first-round pick in April, there are still many gems to be found. Prior to the draft, which kicks off on April 23 in Pittsburgh, teams can bring in up to 30 different prospects on a "top 30 visit". These visits allow teams to become more familiar with the prospect and talk to them more about how they would fit into their scheme and culture.

In other words, it gives the team a much stronger impression of that player than they get at the scouting combine. Because there are only 30 of these visits to go around, teams are not going to waste them on players they wouldn't consider drafting. This process often gives some great insight into the players the team has on its draft board.
