4-star cornerback Danny Lang announces commitment between Oregon, USC

Yahoo Sports

4-star cornerback Danny Lang, one of the top defensive backs in the 2027 class, officially announced his college commitment on Wednesday.

One of the top players in the 2027 class came off the board on Wednesday night and announced that he was staying on the West Coast. Unfortunately, 4-star cornerback Danny Lang is opting to stay down in California, rather than coming up to the Pacific Northwest with the Oregon Ducks . On Wednesday night, Lang announced that he is committing to the USC Trojans .

The 4-star Mater Dei star is rated by 247Sports as the No. 53 overall player and No. 7 cornerback in the 2027 class.

He stands at 6-foot, 160 pounds. Lang has been near the top of Oregon's board for the 2027 class, and he has made a couple of unofficial visits to Eugene over the past year. Now that he is committed to the Trojans, it will be interesting to see how much the Ducks back off of him, if at all.

Lang is scheduled to take an official visit to Oregon in June, and Dan Lanning is likely to try and keep recruiting him over the summer months to see if he can flip him by the time signing day comes around. As things stand right now, the Ducks have the No. 11 class in the 2027 cycle.
