A second Walsh University men's basketball player has entered the transfer portal.

NORTH CANTON — It appears as though the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Year will be moving on. Walsh University's Brayden Gross has entered the transfer portal, according to a post on X from NIL agency Nilson Sports. The former Louisville High School All-Ohioan confirmed he has an official visit to Northern Illinois scheduled for March 28.

He has also heard from Akron, Chattanooga, Mercyhurst and Southern Mississippi. Gross made a big impact in his first season at Walsh. The 6-foot-7 forward started all 25 games and averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds.

He helped lead the Cavaliers to G-MAC regular season and tournament titles and a spot in the third round of the NCAA Division II Tournament for the third time in program history. Gross, who helped lead Louisville to a Division III state title last year, is the second Walsh player to enter the portal. Guard Quinn Barnett made his announcement on March 23.
