Carnell Tate will be one of the New Orleans Saints' 30 official visits before the 2026 NFL Draft. The Ohio State Buckeyes told ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi after his pro day that he's already visited the Cleveland Browns and will make other trips to meet with the Saints in New Orleans as well as the Tennessee Titans, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, and Kansas City Chiefs. Tate is one of a handful of sure things to go top-10 in this year's draft class and the attention from teams picking as high as fourth overall and as low as ninth goes to show it.

He may not be there when the Saints go on the clock at No. 8. Still, it's worth the effort to fly him into town for a physical with team doctors and in-depth meetings with coaches and scouts.

The Saints sent a large contingent to Ohio State's pro day including head coach Kellen Moore and both his coordinators (Doug Nussmeier and Brandon Staley), but it was wide receivers coach Keith Williams spending the most time with Tate. "Every time I see Coach Williams we laugh, we joke and have fun, he tells me he would love to coach me if the opportunity comes. If all the cards fall right I'll be a Saint," Tate said after his workout .

We know Tate is on the Saints' radar, but they've been on his radar, too. He went out of his way to suggest a teamup with Tyler Shough in New Orleans would be just as exciting as working with Josh Allen in Buffalo during an appearance on his teammate's podcast . Maybe he'll get his wish.

If you're keeping score, the Saints have had about six of their 30 visits reported. Four of them are wide receivers: WR Chris Bell (Louisville) WR Makai Lemon (USC) CB Mansoor Delane (LSU) WR Ted Hurst (Georgia State) S Zakee Wheatley (Penn State) WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State) This article originally appeared on Saints Wire: 2026 NFL Draft: Ohio State WR Carnell Tate among Saints' top 30 visits
