Los Angeles Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman expressed his happiness with the strength of LA’s pitching staff. The Dodgers’ Opening Day roster is set , and there are plenty of arms to look out for on the roster. All-Stars like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani headline the group, but plenty of underrated arms from last season are returning in 2026.
Pitchers with huge roles from last season like Ben Casparius, Jack Dreyer, Will Klein and others will support the Dodgers in the coming year, with even more talent elsewhere in the squad. “I think we are breaking camp with the most talented group of pitchers one through 20 that we have ever had,” Friedman said . “Obviously, last September-October we got real exposure to how talented our starting staff was and how they kind of keyed off one another.
We’re looking forward to them going out and being a huge part of our success this year. ” The Dodgers’ pitching staff had a rough run towards the tail end of the 2025 season, having their starters take on the majority of the workload in the postseason. Not much has changed in the bullpen in terms of personnel, but the addition of Edwin Diaz along with the noted improvements of players like Justin Wrobleski and Klein as well as the proven ability among players like Dreyer is a great sign for LA.
