Injury Report for Rockets vs Timberwolves: Can Houston Secure the Season Series?
Edwards sidelined again. Can the Rockets leverage his absence to win a crucial season series against the Timberwolves and reclaim the fifth seed?
On Wednesday March 25th, the Houston Rockets (43-28) head up north to play the Minnesota Timberwolves (44-28). This will cap off the ESPN double header and potentially decide the season series for those two teams. Houston won the first, with the third and final game set for Game 81 of the season.
When: Wednesday, March 25th @ 8:30 PM CT Where: Target Center, Minneapolis Where to watch: ESPN Rockets vs. Timberwolves Injury Report Coming into the game this evening, Houston will of course be without Fred VanVleet and Steven Adams again. Nothing new here, but they're expected to have their full roster otherwise.
They should have an advantage with Anthony Edwards out on the other side. Houston Rockets: Out: Steven Adams (left ankle surgery) Out: Fred VanVleet (right knee ACL repair) Minnesota Timberwolves: Out: Anthony Edwards (Right Knee Soreness) Out: Rocco Zikarsky, (G League/Two-Way) Out: Enrique Freeman (G League/Two-Way) Out: Zyon Pullin (G League/Two-Way) Questionable: Ayo Dosunmu (Right Calf Soreness) The Rockets have one more chance to win a season series against the best Western Conference teams. They failed to come out on top (or even tie) in their matchups against the Nuggets, Lakers, Spurs, and Thunder.
The only other team in the top six is Minnesota. One positive for Houston is that Anthony Edwards has been ruled out of this game for his fifth straight absence. This helped the Rockets come away with a win in the January 16th matchup .
