But don't let that overshadow the fact that the franchise made some shrewd free-agent signings. Rico Dowdle and Michael Pittman Jr. for Mike McCarthy to work with is a great start, plus the additions on defense make Pittsburgh a better team, at least on paper.
And for ESPN's Ben Solak, one move he loved this offseason was Pittsburgh acquiring Pittman Jr. โGetting Pittman on the late-round pick swap,โ Solak wrote . โThe Steelers signed Pittman to an extension after the trade that guarantees him some money, which was an unnecessarily early commitment to his future on the roster, but a sixth-seventh pick swap for a starting receiver is great business.
