They have hovered right around . 500 and have not been to the postseason since the 2021 season. Part of the reason for this is that the Giants have not been able to bring in the star power that some of these other teams have been able to.
They were unable to get Shohei Ohtani , Aaron Judge, or Bryce Harper to sign with them during their free agency periods. However, fans were impressed when the club went out and traded for Rafael Devers ahead of the deadline. He has been used as the team's DH and has played some first base, which is expected to be the case again this season.
