Four-star recruit and sharpshooter Ryder Frost becomes third Irish player to enter portal in 48-hours as Micah Shrewsberry's roster reshapes.

The Notre Dame basketball team lost its third player of the offseason on Wednesday when forward Ryder Frost announced via Joe Tipton (through his agency) that he will also be entering the transfer portal. Earlier this week, both guards Sir Mohammed and Garrett Sundra announced they would not be returning to the Irish next season. We reported that head coach Micah Shrewsberry is expected to stay with the Irish , but more transfers are expected.

Frost is the first since the report, and it doesnโ€™t look like he will be the last. A former 4-star recruit out of New Hampshire, the Phillips Exeter Academy player averaged 21. 6 points, 7.

7 rebounds and 3. 2 assists as a junior, leading the Eagles to a NEPSAC Class A championship. As a freshman, Frost saw limited minutes but contributed in spot duty, showcasing the shooting stroke that made him a top-100 national prospect.

For the season he averaged 2. 7-points in just over 6-minutes per game. Frost was a huge recruiting win for head coach Shrewsberry at the time, beating out programs like Michigan , Iowa , and Wisconsin .
