They were thought to be one of the teams battling to be named champion of the AL Central, but that did not happen. Instead, injuries played a huge part in their downfall. Combine that with being the ultimate sellers at the trade deadline, and all hope for the season was lost.
They finished the year with a 70-92 record, obviously missing the postseason. And while fans would like them to return to being a competitive group, that may not be the case in 2026.
