UH’s Turban gets Big West weekly award

The Big West Conference on Tuesday named Hawaii senior Lilian Turban its Field Athlete of the Week coming off last weekend’s UCR Spring Classic. Turban won two events — the high jump and javelin — clearing 5 feet, 10. 5 inches — in the high jump and throwing the javelin 157 feet, 10 inches.
