Former UFC welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns and streaking 170-pound Canadian bruiser Mike Malott will headline the upcoming UFC Winnipeg MMA event on Paramount+ , recently made official for Sat. , April 18, 2026 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Now they have an official poster.
The 39 year-old Burns (22-9) is looking to bounce back from a brutal knockout loss to welterweight wunderkind Michael Morales at UFC Vegas 106, his fourth straight loss dating back to early 2023. As for Malott (13-2-1), 34, he’s 6-1 since graduating Dana White’s “Contender Series” back in late 2021 and is currently the winner of three straight. That includes his unanimous decision victory over Kevin Holland last fall in Vancouver.
UFC Winnipeg will also feature the flyweight showdown pitting Jasmine Jasudavicius against Karine Silva. Elsewhere on the card, John Castaneda and Mark Vologdin collide at bantamweight, not long after Julien Leblanc and Robert Valentin hook ‘em up at 185 pounds.
