Browns sending large contingency to Ohio State's pro day on Wednesday
A large contingent of Cleveland Browns will be in attendance for Ohio State's Pro Day on Wednesday.
The eye of the NFL world will be on Columbus, Ohio, tomorrow as Ohio State is hosting its pro day on Wednesday. The Buckeyes are going to likely have five first-round draft picks in next month's NFL Draft, and there is a very good chance that one of them is going to be a Cleveland Brown at pick No. 6.
If the Browns select a Buckeye that early, they will likely be taking wide receiver Carnell Tate. However, crazier things have happened, and I suppose you never know until that ticket is submitted. On Tuesday, Jake Trotter of ESPN was on the ESPN Cleveland airwaves, and he said that the Browns will have a "large contingent to look at all of the Ohio State guys.
" For some reason, the part where he says "all of the Ohio State guys" really stands out. Who the Browns could select from Ohio State If the Browns were set on a guy like Tate, I think that messaging would be a little bit different. However, it is important to note that there are about nine other Buckeyes who are going to be in the Draft.
A couple of those guys that might be targets for the Browns could be Davison Igbinosun at the cornerback position, Max Klare at the tight end position, or maybe even a guy like Lorenzo Styles Jr. , who could become a special teams ace. Who's also to say that if Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs are there at six, the Browns think highly enough of the player to make one of them the pick?
