His Jupiter Links Golf Club team might have lost the title to the Los Angeles Golf Club, but Woods said it was another step in "trying to make progress" toward playing in the 2026 Masters Tournament. The major will be held April 9 to 12 at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. Woods has five Masters titles, trailing only Jack Nicklaus, who has six.

Woods, 50, continues to face back and Achilles issues, but said he felt fine physically after Tuesday's event in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He also said it was difficult to find a rhythm due to the nature of the tech-infused virtual golf league, which he co-founded with Rory McIlroy. Now, he'll head back home to Jupiter Island, Fla.

, where he will practice as the first major of the golf season inches closer. Woods made his last Masters cut in 2024, setting a record for the most consecutive made cuts (24) at the tournament. He did not play in 2025.
