Breslow replaced Bloom in 2023 following Bloom's four-year stint running the Red Sox's baseball operations department. Bloom now works as president of baseball operations for the St. Louis Cardinals, but he and his family still live in the Boston area.

Both men have sons in the same suburban Little League, so they spend a good amount of time together at games, according to The Athletic's Jen McCaffrey (subscription required).
