Mikaela Shiffrin's sixth overall World Cup title ties Annemarie Moser-Pröll's record for female Alpine skiers.

The best there is. This season and all others. Mikaela Shiffrin won her sixth overall World Cup title on Wednesday, March 25, tying her with Annemarie Moser-Pröll for most by a woman.

" Shiffrin said when the title was confirmed, sinking to her knees in the finish area with fiancé Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and U. S. teammate Paula Moltzan looking on.

The overall record adds to a long list for Shiffrin. She also has the records for most total World Cup victories (110); wins in a season (17); single-season wins in a single discipline (nine) ; and season titles in a single discipline (nine). She's also a three-time Olympic gold medalist, having w on the slalom title at the Milano Cortina Games last month.
